"I have always had an affinity for black and white photographs. It allows the viewer to visualize subjects in their base existence, using solely the tonal range available within dynamic black and white photographs. This photographic medium lends well to abstract imagery, landscape photos and especially portraiture. It distances the viewer from the subject, allowing for a transcendental perspective of the latent image produced on film. Though I am a black and white film photographer, trained in old school methods of photography and the use of a darkroom, I have also embraced digital photography, photo mechanical printing and new media technologies, in pursuit of producing prints with superior longevity with the highest standard."

You may also read an an overview of his volunteer activities as Chairman of the Sausalito Arts Commission, his supervision of the complete restoration of "Hermandad" by Sergio Castillo Mandiola completed under his watch. He was the Promoter and Producer of Sausalito Art Walk 2007 and has been very active with the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce, serving on various committees to represent and assist in fostering the preservation of our local art community.
